[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] The Yeoseo-dong Saemaul Leaders' Association and its female members, in celebration of Chuseok, visited 100 underprivileged households in the district along with the community center staff, delivering carefully prepared soup and side dishes to share warm affection.

Go Eun-sook, president of the Yeoseo-dong Saemaul Women's Association, which has been consistently volunteering in areas needing help such as sharing side dishes, cleaning senior centers, and caring for the elderly, said, “It feels even more meaningful to have the opportunity to serve warm meals during these difficult times of COVID-19, and I hope those who eat the carefully prepared food will gain strength.”

Choi Yoon-mo, head of Yeoseo-dong, said, “I thank the Yeoseo-dong Saemaul Male and Female Leaders' Association for their warm-hearted local volunteer work and the Yeoseo-dong Residents' Autonomy Committee for their support. We will pay more attention to the voices of our neighbors and actively cooperate to create a Yeoseo-dong that cares for its people.”

Meanwhile, the Yeoseo-dong Saemaul Women's Association has been promoting various support projects through volunteer activities, greatly contributing to the spread of a culture of sharing.
