[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Jeonnam Province recently assigned road name addresses to temporary prefabricated houses provided for disaster victims whose residential facilities were damaged by heavy rain.
According to Jeonnam Province on the 18th, it is expected to take at least six months to repair the damaged houses of the disaster victims, so 77 temporary prefabricated houses will be installed in Damyang, Gokseong, Gurye, and Hampyeong counties by the end of this month.
Accordingly, the province decided to assign road name addresses to the temporary houses so that disaster victims can conveniently receive mail, parcels, and bills while residing there.
First, road name addresses have been assigned to two completed temporary prefabricated houses in Hampyeong County, and building number plates have been attached.
Road name addresses will be sequentially assigned to the remaining temporary prefabricated houses before residents move in.
In particular, support will be provided for bulk address changes for residents who wish to change their registered addresses in official registers such as the resident registration.
Jeong Aesook, head of the Land Management Division of Jeonnam Province, said, “We hope that life in the temporary houses will be comfortable for disaster victims who lost their homes due to heavy rain,” and added, “We will devise various ways to make road name addresses convenient to use at any time.”
