[Asia Economy Reporter Kangwook Cho] KB Kookmin Bank’s Liiv M announced on the 18th the launch of a dedicated plan called the 'Narasarang LTE Plan' for eligible recipients of the Narasarang Card, including active-duty soldiers, reservists, and those awaiting enlistment.
The Narasarang LTE Plan provides 71GB of LTE data per month (11GB monthly + 2GB daily, based on a 30-day month). When the daily data allowance is exhausted, users can continue to use unlimited data at a speed of 3Mbps, which allows uninterrupted viewing of high-definition videos. Voice calls and text messaging are provided unlimited by default, and this plan can be used for up to 36 months from the time of subscription.
The base fee is 29,900 KRW per month, and customers who activate their service by the end of December this year will receive a monthly discount of 4,000 KRW on the base fee. Additionally, if salary transfer or payment using a KB Kookmin Card (credit or debit) is made, an extra 2,200 KRW discount per month applies, allowing unlimited data usage for as low as 23,700 KRW per month.
Along with this, KB Kookmin Bank is holding an event to commemorate the launch of the Narasarang LTE Plan, offering a 30,000 KRW cultural gift certificate to all customers who activate their service by November 6, and a lottery to award two customers with a Galaxy Note10.
A KB Kookmin Bank official said, "We launched an economical plan to reduce the communication cost burden for active-duty soldiers," adding, "We will continue to strive for a more reasonable communication life for all citizens."
Meanwhile, KB Financial Group provides differentiated financial services for military personnel, including the KB Kookmin Narasarang Card, KB Soldier Tomorrow Preparation Savings, and KB Narasarang Preferential Account.
