After Large Appliances, Furniture Ordered Today Will Be Delivered Tomorrow
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Coupang announced on the 18th that it has renamed its large home appliance rocket delivery service 'Professional Installation' to 'Rocket Installation' and expanded the service to include furniture.
Rocket Installation is a service where professional technicians directly deliver and install home appliances and furniture purchased from Coupang, characterized by fast and safe delivery. Generally, large home appliances or furniture products take several days after ordering due to issues such as product supply and delivery scheduling, but at Coupang, if ordered before 2 PM, customers can receive items such as TVs, refrigerators, washing machines, as well as furniture like beds, sofas, and dining tables the next day. Customers can also freely choose delivery and installation schedules within two weeks after ordering according to their own schedule.
The burden of delivery costs has also been reduced. Delivery is free to all areas, including remote island and mountainous regions, and costs for ladder trucks or stairway transport required for product installation are also supported free of charge. The eligible products have been expanded from existing categories such as refrigerators, washers/dryers, and audiovisual appliances to include furniture categories such as bedroom furniture, living room furniture, and office furniture.
To commemorate the renewal of Rocket Installation, Coupang is holding a 'Rocket Installation Mid-Season Promotion' event until the 27th. Popular products from brands such as Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, Hyundai Livart, Samick Furniture, and Sealy will be offered at up to 20% discounted prices during limited-time weekly specials. Lee Byung-hee, Vice President of Coupang Retail, said, "We have revamped the Rocket Installation service to provide a differentiated customer experience not only for large home appliances but also for furniture purchases," adding, "We will continue to strive to offer customers a wider variety of Rocket Installation products and generous benefits."
