Halla "Wins 156.4 Billion KRW Contract for Construction of Apartment Complex at Cheongju Wolmyeong Park"

[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Hanla has won a contract worth 156.4 billion KRW for the 'Cheongju Wolmyeong Park Apartment Construction Project.'

Hanla announced on the 17th that it signed a construction contract for the Wolmyeong Park apartment construction project in Heungdeok-gu, Cheongju City, commissioned by Daesung I&D. The project site is located in San 26, Bongmyeong-dong, Heungdeok-gu, Cheongju City. It is a project to build a total floor area of 133,273.88㎡, consisting of 8 buildings with 3 basement floors to 27 above-ground floors, 888 apartment units, and neighborhood living facilities. Construction is scheduled to start in September 2021, with sales planned thereafter. The construction period is 30 months from the start date.

The Cheongju Wolmyeong Park development project is a private park special case project, where part of the total project site (147,771㎡) ? specifically 43,382㎡ ? will be developed for apartment construction, and the remaining land (104,389㎡) will be developed into an urban park and donated to Cheongju City. In January, Daesung I&D was designated as the project implementer, and Daesung I&D selected Hanla as the contractor for the apartment development on the non-park land.

This complex is adjacent to a park area about 20 times the size of a soccer field, making it a forest-adjacent apartment boasting a pleasant environment. It is located near Cheongju General Industrial Complex and Cheongju Technopolis, where many large companies such as SK Hynix and LG Chem have settled, providing abundant demand in the area. Within a 1 km radius of the complex are schools including Bongjeong Elementary, Bongmyeong Middle, and Bongmyeong High School.

Meanwhile, on the 2nd, Hanla also won a contract worth approximately 64.7 billion KRW for the apartment construction project in Gwangyeong-dong, Gwangyang City, Jeollanam-do, commissioned by ISE&C. The project site is located in San 378, Gwangyeong-dong, Gwangyang City, Jeollanam-do, with a total floor area of 50,787㎡, consisting of 332 apartment units and neighborhood living facilities in buildings ranging from 2 basement floors to 18 above-ground floors. The construction period is 29 months from the start date, with sales planned for November.

A Hanla official said, "The Cheongju Wolmyeong Park apartment project is Hanla's first case entering the private park special case project. We will work closely with Cheongju City and the project implementer to ensure its successful development."
