[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Hannam University announced on the 17th that the recipients of the '16th Proud Hannam Alumni Award' are ▲Park Haeng-soon, Honorary Professor at Chonnam National University in the field of Education (Chemistry, Class of 1965) ▲Shin Hee-hyun, Commander of the 36th Division in the field of National Defense (Accounting, Class of 1985) ▲Lee Seong-o, Pastor of Geumseong Church in the field of Ministry (English Literature, Class of 1973) ▲Shin Young-hwan, Director of Media Strategy at Daejeon MBC in the field of Journalism (English Literature, Class of 1984) ▲Kim Young-ho, Chairman of Minyechong in the field of Culture and Arts (Korean Literature, Class of 1974), totaling five individuals.
The university annually selects alumni who have been active in various sectors of society and have enhanced the honor of their alma mater to present the Hannam Alumni Award.
The awardees are selected after being recommended by the Hannam University Alumni Association or university faculty members, followed by evaluation by the 'Proud Hannam Alumni Award Committee.'
This year's award ceremony is scheduled to be held in November. However, the schedule may change depending on the spread of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
