[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] ○…The Korea Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) has established the Bizplay Electronic Newspaper Open.


On the 16th, a signing ceremony for the new Korean Tour tournament was held at the KPGA building located in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do. It will take place over four days starting October 22 at the Tamius CC Wood & Lake Courses in Aewol-eup, Jeju City, Jeju Island. The tournament will be conducted as a 72-hole stroke play event with a total prize fund of 500 million KRW and a winner's prize of 100 million KRW. Bizplay is a company established in 2014 that provides automated expense management services. The Electronic Newspaper is an IT-specialized media company celebrating its 38th anniversary.


Seok Chang-gyu, Chairman of Bizplay, said, "I am pleased to support the Korean Tour, which excites golf fans with thrilling matches and dynamic play at every tournament," adding, "I hope this will contribute to the development of golf in Korea." The Korean Tour will continue with the Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance Choi Kyung-ju Invitational at Ferrum Golf Club on the 24th, the Genesis Championship at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club on October 8, and the Players Championship at Seowon Valley Golf Club on November 5.
