[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] On the 16th, the groups that organized the rally in Gwanghwamun last month announced that they will hold a rally at Gwanghwamun Square again on October 3rd, National Foundation Day.

The "815 Rally Participants National Emergency Response Committee" stated at a press conference held in front of Jongno Police Station in Seoul on the same day, "The Moon Jae-in administration must guarantee the freedom of assembly and association explicitly stipulated in the Constitution," and claimed, "(The government) is trampling on the people's basic rights to silence the voices of the people who will raise louder voices on October 3rd."

This group was formed mainly by conservative organizations that participated in the Liberation Day rally, such as the Free Democratic People's Movement. Choi In-sik, representative of the Free Democratic People's Movement, said, "We are filing a rally report today to firmly show our determination to confront this administration," and added, "We want to have an opportunity to thoroughly inform the public about how wrong the government's political quarantine measures are."

Representative Choi said, "The reported rally location is the northern park road of Sejong Center near Gwanghwamun, and the number of participants reported is 1,000," and added, "All participants will maintain a 2-meter social distance front and back according to quarantine guidelines, wear masks, and perform disinfection."

After the press conference, the participants filed the rally report at Jongno Police Station.
