Live Broadcasts Conducted Three Times Across Mountainous Regions Nationwide
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] Naver announced on the 16th that it will support the 'Flood-Damaged Farm Support Live' to help improve sales for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in flood-affected areas struggling due to COVID-19 and frequent typhoons.
Naver Shopping Live has partnered with Seoul City’s Sangsaeng Sanghoe to organize a special live broadcast that vividly introduces agricultural products from flood-affected farms on site. To boost farm sales, Naver is enhancing Shopping Live exposure and providing display ads free of charge. The first live broadcast took place on the 9th, and a total of three live sessions will be held nationwide on the 16th, 23rd, and other dates.
During the first live broadcast on the 9th, Hongro apples from a farm in Gapyeong were introduced. 1,400 boxes were sold through the pre-live announcement page alone, prompting an urgent stock replenishment, and all additional quantities prepared on the day of the live were sold out, showing high user interest. Through this Shopping Live, Gapyeong Hongro apples recorded total sales of 3,500 boxes, exceeding 80 million KRW.
The second live broadcast, scheduled for 4 p.m. on the 16th, will be held at a farm in Yanggu, Gangwon Province. Along with Hongro apples grown at an altitude of 500 meters in Yanggu, an event offering apple juice and apple vinegar gifts will be conducted. On the 23rd at 4 p.m., the live will visit a farm in Cheonan, Chungnam Province, to introduce Shine Muscat and Kyoho grapes.
Song Jae-hoon, the leader in charge of Naver Shopping Live, said, "Shopping Live’s distinguishing feature is that it can be conducted anytime and anywhere without restrictions on time or place, allowing regional SMEs nationwide to easily secure online customer touchpoints."
