According to Realmeter's survey commissioned by YTN's "The News" on the 11th regarding the nationwide 20,000 KRW communication fee support, 58.2% of all respondents evaluated it as a 'wrong decision,' the agency announced on the 14th. The response of 'right decision' was 37.8%, and 'don't know' was 4.0%.
By ideological inclination and political party, the conservative group (64.2%), People Power Party supporters (85.4%), moderate group (67.5%), and non-affiliated group (68.3%) all showed high responses of 'wrong decision.' On the other hand, the progressive group (56.3%) and Democratic Party supporters (68.3%) mostly evaluated it as a 'right decision.'
By region, only Gwangju and Jeolla (52.0%) had a majority evaluating it as a 'right decision.' By age, most evaluated it as a 'wrong decision,' with only those in their 20s and 40s showing nearly equal positive and negative evaluations.
This survey contacted 10,050 adults aged 18 and over nationwide, with a final 500 respondents completing the survey, recording a 5.0% response rate. The sampling error is ±4.4 percentage points at a 95% confidence level.
