NanoEntek Receives Approval for COVID-19 Antibody Test Kit Use in Brazil

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] NanoEntek (CEO Jeong Chan-il) announced on the 11th that it has received approval for use from the Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency (ANVISA) for its COVID-19 antibody diagnostic kit (FREND COVID-19 IgG/IgM Duo).

In the clinical evaluation by the Brazilian National Institute of Quality Control in Health (INCQS), the kit achieved a sensitivity of 96.4% and a specificity of 97.1%.

Brazil, with approximately 4.19 million confirmed COVID-19 cases, is one of the countries most affected by COVID-19 after the United States and India, where cases have recently surged. Additionally, due to high poverty rates, population density, and many areas with poor healthcare systems, there is a high demand for antibody kits that provide rapid and accurate diagnosis on site.
