EzCareTech Signs Hospital Information System Construction Contract with Saudi Royal Yanbu Hospital

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Ezcaretech announced on the 10th that it has signed a contract with Bundang Seoul National University Hospital to build the next-generation medical information system BESTCare2.0A for the Royal Commission Health Services in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia. The contract is worth approximately 4.8 billion KRW, and the solution will be implemented at Yanbu Hospital and 8 clinics (Primary Healthcare Centers) by the first half of next year.

Yanbu Hospital is a general hospital located in Medina Province in western Saudi Arabia, operating a total of 342 beds and 8 clinics. It has received JCI and CBAHI certifications, which focus on medical quality and patient safety. Additionally, it was awarded the silver prize in patient satisfaction in Medina Province, recognizing its value as the main hospital of the Royal Commission.

Since signing a medical information system supply contract with the Saudi Ministry of National Guard in 2014, Ezcaretech has accelerated its exports to the Middle East, securing a total of 9 contracts in Saudi Arabia to date. The company expects its influence in the Saudi and Middle Eastern markets to grow further, as BESTCare will now be used in all hospitals under two Saudi government ministries, the Royal Commission and the Ministry of National Guard.

Hwang Hee, Vice President of Ezcaretech in charge of overseas projects, said, “Despite difficulties such as a delay of more than six months due to the impact of COVID-19, we succeeded in winning the contract by actively engaging in negotiations through non-face-to-face video conferences for proposal presentations, system demonstrations, and Q&A sessions.” He added, “We will continue to persuade customers with greater dedication in ongoing negotiations with several other countries and soon succeed in securing new cloud system contracts alongside existing hospital information systems in new markets.”
