'Xbox Series X', Released on the Same Day, Priced at $499
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] Microsoft (MS) has unveiled its next-generation console game device, the 'Xbox Series S.'
According to foreign media such as CNBC on the 9th, the price of the Xbox Series S has been set at $299. The release date is November 10.
The Xbox Series S is a budget version with reduced gaming performance but a lower price. The graphics processor performance of the Xbox Series S is lowered to 4 teraflops per second, and the main memory capacity is reduced to 7.5 gigabytes (GB). While 4K UHD high-resolution gaming is difficult, it can run games at 60 frames per second at 1080p resolution.
Meanwhile, the high-performance version introduced alongside the Xbox Series S, the 'Xbox Series X,' features an 8-core CPU operating at 3.8GHz based on AMD Zen2 architecture and the latest AMD RDNA2 architecture-based graphics processor, providing computing performance of 12 teraflops per second. The main memory capacity is 16GB. It allows gaming at 60 frames per second in 4K UHD high resolution.
The price of the Xbox Series X is $499, and it is expected to be released on November 10 along with the Xbox Series S.
