[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Yoo Geun-chun, CEO of Samtae Special Construction Co., Ltd., has joined the 101st Honorable Society in Jeonnam. He is the fifth member from Gokseong.
According to the Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Noh Dong-il) on the 8th, the joining ceremony held the day before was attended by Yoo Geun-gi, Gokseong County Governor, Noh Dong-il, Chairman of the Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea, Yoo Geun-chun, CEO of Samtae Special Construction Co., Ltd., and family members and other related persons.
The donated funds will be provided as scholarships to youths in the Gokseong area who are experiencing difficulties in their studies.
CEO Yoo said, “I decided to join the Honorable Society after thinking about what I could do to help Gokseong, where I spent my childhood,” and added, “Gokseong County operates various educational programs to grow as an educational community, and I hope that through scholarships, young people will not give up on their dreams and grow into creative talents.”
Noh Dong-il, Chairman of the Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea, said, “CEO Yoo Geun-chun’s joining is even more meaningful as he has consistently made donations in other regions and has now joined with the understanding and support of his family,” and added, “We will carefully and valuably deliver the donor’s intention to nurture talents in Jeonnam Gokseong so that it reaches local youths.”
Gokseong County Governor Yoo Geun-gi said, “We have increased educational investments in youth scholarship projects and early childhood experience programs, and together with residents, schools, and the education support office, we have been creating a future-oriented Gokseong in line with the Fourth Industrial Revolution era,” and expressed gratitude to CEO Yoo Geun-chun for joining this effort.
Meanwhile, Samtae Special Construction Co., Ltd. was established in March 2002 and operates businesses such as wet work and waterproofing construction and facility maintenance. Since the company’s founding, CEO Yoo has donated love sponsorship funds to Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, supporting housing environment improvement projects for vulnerable groups, thereby giving back the company’s profits to society.
