[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] The owner of a large dog without a muzzle has been sent to the prosecution with a recommendation for indictment in connection with an incident where the dog bit and killed a small dog.

According to the Eunpyeong Police Station in Seoul on the 1st, the owner of the Rottweiler, Mr. A, was sent to the prosecution with a recommendation for indictment on charges including property damage the day before.

On the afternoon of July 25th, an accident occurred in an alley in Bulgwang-dong, Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul, where a large Rottweiler attacked and killed a Spitz, a small dog breed. At the time, the owner of the victim dog, Mr. A, who was with his pet, was injured while trying to separate the Rottweiler from his dog. It was reported that the Rottweiler that killed the Spitz had also attacked and killed another small dog three years ago.

The police judged that Mr. A was aware that similar incidents could occur again if the dog was not muzzled, but failed to take proper safety measures, establishing the charge of property damage by implied intent.
