[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] AlbaCheck, which operates a non-face-to-face store task management service, announced on the 1st that it will release an official version with improved usability and enhanced security ahead of its paid transition.
AlbaCheck is a third-year startup that has implemented a mobile application (app) to manage task instructions and checklists that were manually managed in offline stores.
Earlier this April, AlbaCheck conducted a first update based on actual user surveys to develop features and improve speed. In this official version, AlbaCheck implemented ▲partner login placement at the forefront ▲simplification of store registration ▲strengthened business site verification ▲store notification features. The existing beta version will be discontinued.
AlbaCheck expects that using the app will improve communication and working methods between store owners and workers more efficiently in offline stores.
According to Statistics Korea, the number of ultra-short-term workers working less than 15 hours per week in the second quarter of this year was 1,232,000, a 19% increase compared to the first quarter of 2018. In particular, wholesale and retail, lodging, and restaurants saw a 51% surge during the same period. AlbaCheck added, "With the minimum wage rising by 33% compared to three years ago, labor costs that store owners must bear have also increased accordingly. As so-called 'split part-time jobs' hiring ultra-short-term workers under 15 hours have increased, the number of management tasks outside of sales and operations that store owners must handle is also rising."
AlbaCheck will expand its business starting with the release of this official version. In particular, through a business partnership with 'KSNet,' one of the 'Big 5' companies in the domestic VAN market share, it plans to accelerate service development to secure offline franchise stores and enhance store owner benefits.
AlbaCheck is preparing to switch to a paid service next month. Kwon Minjae, CEO of AlbaCheck, said, "We plan to offer store owners a trial period during September where all functions can be used for free," adding, "With the cost of just two cups of coffee per month, offline stores can start non-face-to-face task management and begin digital transformation."
