[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] Welcome Financial Group, which includes Welcome Savings Bank and Welcome Crediline Loan as affiliates, announced on the 31st that it held the 20th Bang Jeong-hwan Scholarship Award Ceremony.

Marking its 10th year, the Welcome Financial Bang Jeong-hwan Scholarship Award Ceremony was held under the name "20th ON(溫) Tact Scholarship Certificate Award Ceremony." Due to the impact of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the ceremony was made public online, and scholarship certificates and funds will be delivered individually to the students.

Welcome Financial creates scholarships annually from more than 1% of its net profit and donations made monthly by its executives and employees. Since 2011, scholarships have been awarded twice a year to middle and high school students as well as university students. Over the past 10 years, more than 3,000 scholarship recipients have received scholarships totaling over 4.4 billion KRW.
