[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Hyesoo] On the afternoon of the 30th, Lee Kwangsoo claimed the final victory on SBS's 'Running Man.'
On this day’s 'Running Man,' the main cast of the upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama 'Do You Like Brahms?'?Park Eunbin, Park Jihyun, Kim Minjae, and Kim Sungcheol?appeared as guests. Yoo Jae-suk said, "We all know you’re here to promote the drama, so just give it a try," and Park Eunbin faithfully recited the drama’s plot. Yoo Jae-suk then laughed, saying, "Usually, people promote naturally in these cases, but I didn’t expect you to recite the entire plot from start to finish."
The members and the four guests became music school students and solved music-related questions. After answering a total of 10 subjective and objective questions, teams were formed based on the scores. Questions included Elgar’s 'Salut d’Amour,' writing the order of songs by Jang Beomjun, and identifying Beethoven, Mozart, Handel, and Bach from photos.
After solving all the questions, teams were divided based on scores into Jihyun’s team (Song Ji-hyo, Lee Kwangsoo, Yang Se-chan), Minjae’s team (Ji Suk-jin, Yoo Jae-suk, Kim Jong-kook), and Eunbin’s team (Haha, Jeon So-min, Kim Sungcheol) to start the main missions.
The first mission was to identify songs heard when multiple tracks played simultaneously. In this game, three members from different teams sat together, and the person who answered correctly could hit one of the other two with a flick or a toy hammer.
In this game, Yang Se-chan answered three questions in a row, so Kim Sungcheol and Kim Minjae, who were with him, took turns getting hit. Kim Minjae and Kim Sungcheol aimed for revenge moments, and eventually, Kim Sungcheol correctly identified Hong Kyung-min’s 'Shaken Friendship' and got his chance for revenge. When Kim Sungcheol flicked Yang Se-chan with great power, Haha and Ji Suk-jin praised him, saying, "You have talent," and "That was strong."
Meanwhile, Lee Kwangsoo got flicked so much by Kim Jong-kook, who kept answering questions correctly, that his forehead turned red. Eventually, Lee Kwangsoo answered a question correctly and got to hit Kim Jong-kook, but he accidentally hit weakly due to a slip of the hand. Lee Kwangsoo protested and then hit with his fist, making the members burst into laughter. The green team = Park Jihyun’s team won this mission.
After one mission ended, it was promotion time. The winning team could publicly ask the grade level of any member from the other two teams. It was revealed that Haha and Kim Jong-kook were in 2nd grade, and Kwangsoo was in 4th grade. Park Jihyun, Kim Sungcheol, Jeon So-min, and Song Ji-hyo received badges.
The second mission was strawberry splitting. Teams sat at tables set with lunch and played strawberry splitting, returning one food plate from the table each time they lost.
In this game, Yoo Jae-suk from Minjae’s team (Ji Suk-jin, Yoo Jae-suk, Kim Jong-kook) was so bad that he learned the game by getting hit by Kim Jong-kook. Other team members frequently attacked Yoo Jae-suk, knowing he was the weak link, but after receiving Kim Jong-kook’s strict training, Yoo Jae-suk no longer fell victim to attacks.
Meanwhile, Jeon So-min and Park Eunbin, who were secretly eating meat on the table, were caught by the production team. Seeing this, Yoo Jae-suk said, "I can understand So-min, but Eunbin, why are you doing that?" and kept pointing out, "Park Eunbin’s play is strange."
The second mission was also won by Park Jihyun’s team. It was revealed that Park Eunbin was in 4th grade, Ji Suk-jin was in 4th grade, and Yoo Jae-suk was in 1st grade. Park Eunbin was not only in 4th grade but also ranked first overall.
The final mission was 'What is Solo?' In this game, the player who became the highest grade solo winner could win. Only name tags of the same grade or lower could be torn off, and alliances were allowed. However, since solo points were important, players had to be smart even when forming alliances.
Also, before the game started, those who had earned promotion badges moved up a rank within their current grade. So at the start, Park Jihyun, Kim Sungcheol, Park Eunbin, and Jeon So-min were in 5th grade; Lee Kwangsoo and Ji Suk-jin were in 4th grade; Song Ji-hyo, Kim Jong-kook, Haha, and Yang Se-chan were in 2nd grade; and Yoo Jae-suk and Kim Minjae were in 1st grade.
The first to enter the Up and Down room was Kim Minjae. As a 1st grader, Kim Minjae desperately wanted to enter the Up and Down room but failed to achieve his goal.
Meanwhile, Lee Kwangsoo betrayed Park Jihyun to raise his solo grade. Jeon So-min also suggested forming an alliance with Kim Jong-kook but was caught by Kim Jong-kook, who remembered the earlier betrayal, and had her name tag torn off.
Kim Jong-kook sought advice from Haha, who was holding the status board, and Haha told him, "Aim for 5th grade. Deliberately get your name tag torn off and hide."
Lee Kwangsoo, who was going solo after deceiving Park Jihyun, also tried to deceive Yoo Jae-suk and Yang Se-chan but was caught lying by the status board, facing a moment of crisis. However, Lee Kwangsoo, who remained the only 4th grader until the end, won the final victory.
When Lee Kwangsoo won, Kim Jong-kook said, "See, you should have cut him off early." Lee Kwangsoo happily said, "It’s been a long time since I received a prize." He received a turntable with an antique vibe as the prize.
Meanwhile, eliminated Kim Minjae, Haha, Jeon So-min, and Yoo Jae-suk received the sponge penalty. Among the four sponges, two were soaked with water and the other two with ink. The four pressed the sponges to their faces, and Yoo Jae-suk and Jeon So-min chose the ink sponges, revealing blackened faces.
