Dongseo University Holds Online Class Workshop Using Google Tools

Minseok College of Liberal Arts, Korea's First 'Google Innovator' Professor Park Jeongcheol of Dankook University Conducts Online Lecture

At the Creative Education Faculty Competency Enhancement Workshop held by Minseok College of Liberal Arts at Dongseo University on the 27th, participants are listening to and resonating with a lecture by Professor Park Jeong-cheol from Dankook University College of Dentistry.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Dongseo University Minseok College of Liberal Arts held the ‘2020 Creative Education Faculty Competency Enhancement Workshop’ on the 27th, featuring a lecture by Professor Park Jeong-cheol of Dankook University College of Dentistry, the first Google Innovator in Korea.

This workshop was conducted under the theme ‘How to Use Google Tools for Online Classes,’ reflecting the current situation where online classes are increasing due to COVID-19. The format was also online (Zoom), with participants joining from their own spaces.

Professor Park Jeong-cheol said, “Most professors have little experience with online classes, so there are many difficulties.”

However, he shared various online lecture cases, saying, “If we bring much of the know-how from offline classes to online, and also bring the advantages of online classes to offline, education will develop and become better.”

The workshop was attended by 43 Dongseo University professors and staff, including Dean Park Sung-mi of Minseok College of Liberal Arts. Many responded that learning about and applying various tools would be directly helpful for their classes.

This Creative Education Faculty Competency Enhancement Workshop is held every semester by Minseok College of Liberal Arts to expand the capabilities of liberal arts education faculty for operating innovative future-oriented class models.
