- Establishment of an Independent Partnership System through Mileage Conversion of the Existing Sales Incentive Program
- Expressed Commitment to Business Diversification by Building a Proprietary Mobile Platform for Imported Cars
Genuine Car & Parts (CEO Gil Hyung-yong, Jang Gi-duk), which imports and sells genuine parts for imported car brands including the three major German companies, announced that it has surpassed 30 partner repair shops.
Gil Hyung-yong, co-CEO of Genuine Car & Parts, stated, “It seems that repair shops have responded well to parts ordering and delivery through online services including mobile, moving away from the traditional analog distribution method. Online ordering and delivery reduced the workload between repair shops and parts suppliers, and we also provided existing sales incentives for purchased parts as mileage points. Accumulated mileage can be checked online, and we have systemized it so that partner repair shops can freely use these mileage points for future parts purchases, thereby building trust with them.”
Furthermore, this change has brought significant improvements not only for domestic imported car owners but also in terms of social costs such as rising insurance premiums. “By minimizing the complex distribution process for purchasing genuine parts, consumers can buy genuine parts at prices discounted by 20 to 40% compared to the regular price, which effectively reduces the repair cost burden on consumers and consequently lowers related social costs,” he said.
CEO Gil Hyung-yong mentioned that the domestic imported car parts distribution market is still trapped in the traditional analog distribution structure, but it will change based on the efficiency of online platforms. He revealed that the transformation of the domestic imported car parts market is just beginning, and amid these changes, Genuine Car & Parts aims not only to remain a simple imported car parts distribution company but also to establish itself as an online platform operator related to imported cars.
