[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] French-born foreign broadcaster Idadoshi revealed that she has not received child support for 10 years after her divorce. It is known that she recently disclosed her ex-husband's identity on the website 'Bad Fathers,' which exposes parents who do not pay child support.
On the afternoon of the 16th, on the SBS Special episode "Accusing Dad," Idadoshi said, "I have never received child support even once. At first, I waited a bit. After the divorce, I was mentally overwhelmed and confused, so I thought the other party might be the same," adding, "But he still has never paid child support and has never contacted the children."
According to the broadcast, Idadoshi, who married a Korean man in 1993, agreed with her ex-husband at the time of their divorce in May 2010 to receive child support for their two sons as follows: "1.2 million won per month from January 1, 2012, to December 31, 2013; 1.4 million won per month until April 24, 2017; and 700,000 won per month until December 8, 2023."
However, Idadoshi said, "I have never received child support after the divorce," and "He has never contacted the children either."
Afterward, as the Child Support Enforcement Officer, who helps non-custodial parents pay child support, was established in 2015, she immediately sought help there.
Despite various child support lawsuits, it is known that she never received any payments due to claims that her ex-husband was abroad and had no financial means.
After much deliberation, she disclosed her ex-husband on the 'Bad Fathers' website.
Idadoshi said, "I feel sorry that I have to go as far as to disclose him on 'Bad Fathers.' But there is no other way. Child support is not money owed to me but an eternal debt to our children," adding, "Since the father has a responsibility to the children, he must fulfill it naturally. I am also a mother in the Republic of Korea. For the sake of our children, I will not give up. I will see this through to the end."
According to the production team's investigation, Idadoshi's ex-husband is operating two Korea-related businesses in Vietnam. When contacted by the production team, Idadoshi's ex-husband said, "I have nothing to say. This is a personal matter, and I do not want to talk about it."
