[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] A man in his 60s from Daejeon who visited Seoul Sarang Jeil Church has been confirmed positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).

According to Daejeon City on the 16th, a woman in her 60s, Ms. A, living in Okgyedong, Jung-gu, Daejeon, was confirmed positive for COVID-19 at the screening clinic of Chungnam National University Hospital.

It is reported that this woman began showing symptoms such as cough, sore throat, chills, and fever starting from the 12th.

In particular, the city and quarantine authorities have identified that Ms. A visited Sarang Jeil Church from the 9th to the 12th and are currently conducting an epidemiological investigation of close contacts.

A city official said, “If you have recently visited Sarang Jeil Church in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul (August 7th to 13th) or Uri Jeil Church in Yongin (August 1st to 12th), please be sure to self-quarantine and get tested for COVID-19 at a nearby public health center or screening clinic.”
