[Asia Economy Golf Specialist Reporter Kim Hyun-jun] Park Min-ji (22, NH Investment & Securities) took one step closer to 'defending her title.'


On the 15th, at the Daeyu Montberr Golf Club in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province (par 72, 6,525 yards), during the second day of the KLPGA Tour Daeyu Winia MBN Women's Open (total prize money 700 million won), she reduced her score by 2 strokes up to the 15th hole, securing a tie for 3rd place at 8 under par, just one stroke behind the leader. Due to severe weather delays from the previous day, 3 holes remain to be played. She surged with a 6-under-par on the first day, immediately taking the top spot on the leaderboard, and added two birdies on holes 1 and 8 on this day.


Goo Rae-hyun (20, Dongbu Construction) and Song Ga-eun (20, MG Saemaeul Geumgo) are tied for the lead (9 under par, 135 strokes), aiming for their first victory. Lee So-mi (21, SBI Savings Bank) joined the tie for 3rd place. Kim Hyo-joo (25, Lotte) and Lee Jeong-eun 6 (24, Daebang Construction) are tied for 17th place (5 under par, 139 strokes), while prize money ranking leader Park Hyun-kyung (20, Korea Land Trust) remains tied for 26th place (4 under par). Shin Ji-ae (32), returning to the domestic stage after two years, struggled with an even par and is tied for 45th place (2 under par, 142 strokes).
