From the 5th, active implementation of compensation for institutions and businesses damaged by closure and disinfection measures during COVID-19 response... Applications accepted weekdays 9 AM to 6 PM at the dedicated COVID-19 compensation desk on the 4th floor of the Public Health Center, by visit, mail, or email
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] “We closed our store for five days due to COVID-19. With fewer customers and the store closed, it’s even harder. Can we receive compensation?”
Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) has initiated compensation for losses incurred by medical institutions, pharmacies, and businesses affected by closures, business suspensions, and disinfection measures during the COVID-19 response.
The district announced that from the 5th, it will accept loss compensation applications from 152 locations including clinics, pharmacies, restaurants, beauty salons, karaoke rooms, PC rooms, and convenience stores where COVID-19 response measures were implemented. However, institutions that voluntarily disinfected or closed, and businesses subject to gathering bans or restrictions are excluded from this compensation.
Additionally, a permanent loss compensation reception desk will be operated to ensure smooth processing. Detailed information can be obtained through the COVID-19 loss compensation reception office at the Jungnang-gu Health Administration Division.
The compensation scope comprehensively considers ▲ direct costs incurred for compliance with disinfection orders ▲ input costs for facilities, equipment, and personnel ▲ opportunity costs from not being able to use resources for their original purpose ▲ business losses during the closure period.
Applications can be submitted with the application form, personal information consent form, and supporting documents at the reception desk on the 4th floor of Jungnang-gu Public Health Center, or via mail (179 Bonghwasan-ro, Jungnang-gu, Seoul, 4th floor Epidemiological Investigation TF Team, Jungnang-gu Public Health Center) or email (captainlay@jn.go.kr).
Jungnang-gu Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi said, “We thank all residents for actively cooperating with the district’s response measures during the urgent COVID-19 situation,” and added, “We will do our utmost to revitalize the local economy by focusing all efforts on loss compensation work to help institutions affected by this crisis recover quickly.”
