[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Longtu Korea announced on the 14th through a public disclosure that its consolidated financial statements showed a 101% increase in second-quarter sales compared to the same period last year, reaching 16.7 billion KRW. The cumulative sales for the first half of the year reached 23 billion KRW, and the operating profit for the second quarter was 1.4 billion KRW, successfully turning a profit compared to the previous quarter.
The action MMORPG "Yong-ui Giwon," officially launched last March, consistently maintained high sales rankings on Korea's three major markets: Google Play Store, Apple App Store, and One Store, driving the increase in second-quarter performance. "Yong-ui Giwon" recorded an average monthly sales of approximately 2.5 billion KRW in the second quarter, when sales were fully reflected.
The new title "Kairos," which gathered 500,000 pre-registrations before its official launch, also maintained top rankings in app market sales since its service began in May, recording stable sales in the second quarter. "Kairos" ranked 9th in sales on One Store as of the 4th and currently continues to rank high in sales on both One Store and Google Play Store.
A company representative stated, "In the second half of the year, we expect further improvement in performance due to continued strong sales of new games and reduced advertising expenses," adding, "The new title 'Tanseong,' currently in pre-registration, is expected to be officially launched in the third quarter and significantly contribute to the second half's performance."
