[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jihwan] Kim Won-kyu, CEO of Ebest Investment & Securities, announced on the 14th that he has joined the 'Stay Strong Campaign' wishing for the overcoming of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The Stay Strong Campaign is a relay public campaign supporting the overcoming and end of COVID-19. It was started by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea in March this year to spread solidarity messages worldwide.
The campaign is conducted by participants holding a sign with the phrase "Stay Strong" and a picture of praying hands with soap bubbles, taking photos, posting them on SNS, and then nominating the next participant. It carries the meaning of overcoming COVID-19 together through personal hygiene management.
CEO Kim Won-kyu joined the campaign after being nominated by Kim Kyung-kyu, CEO of Hi Investment & Securities. He recommended Lee Jang-kyu, CEO of Metro News, and Hwang Sung-kyu, Chairman of Realty Bank, as the next participants.
CEO Kim said, "Response usually requires capabilities beyond the crisis," and added, "Since this is a global crisis, I hope everyone participates and overcomes COVID-19 through thorough personal hygiene and social distancing."
