Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station Conducts 'Fire Safety Education' for Disabled Workers

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station (Chief Im Jongbok) announced on the 14th that it conducted fire safety education for 34 related personnel and facility users at the Gwangju Caritas Protection Workshop in Jijuk-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 13th.

The education was prepared to prevent fire risk factors in advance and improve initial response capabilities in case of emergencies through customized fire safety education for disabled workers and general employees.

The Gwangsan Fire Station focused on guiding ▲ introduction of fire cause cases ▲ evacuation first education in case of fire ▲ how to use fire extinguishers and indoor fire hydrants during a fire ▲ cardiopulmonary resuscitation in preparation for emergency patients ▲ use of evacuation equipment for emergency evacuation.

Chief Im Jongbok said, “For disabled or elderly people with physical difficulties, it is more important to evacuate quickly to a safe place rather than extinguishing the fire in case of fire,” and added, “I hope everyone makes safety habits a part of daily life by accurately learning evacuation methods and checking emergency exits in advance.”
