[Asia Economy (Namyangju) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] A college admission briefing session was held at Kyungbok University Namyangju Campus.
Kyungbok University announced on the 13th that the college admission briefing session was held on the 12th at the Udang Art Hall on the Namyangju Campus, hosted by the Korea Council for College Education, with about 170 homeroom teachers of 3rd-year high school students from the Gyeonggi region attending.
The admission briefing session was conducted in the order of introducing a customized career and college counseling program for colleges and universities, followed by an introduction to majors and admission procedures of colleges in northern Gyeonggi.
A Kyungbok University official stated, "This briefing session was an event planned by the Education Council to help teachers establish college admission strategies," adding, "The event was conducted in compliance with the government's COVID-19 social distancing prevention guidelines."
Meanwhile, Kyungbok University, where the admission briefing was held, was selected as a 'Self-Improvement University' in the '2018 Ministry of Education Basic University Competency Diagnosis Evaluation' and achieved the highest employment rate among metropolitan area universities (with more than 2,000 graduates) from 2017 to 2019.
