Pearl Abyss-Intel eSports Partnership... [Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Pearl Abyss announced on the 13th that it has signed a strategic partnership with Intel to promote eSports.


The two companies have decided to hold the 'Shadow Arena Jackpot Supermatch' event tournament.


'Shadow Arena' is a battle royale genre PC game utilizing Pearl Abyss's flagship game 'Black Desert' IP (intellectual property).


The Intel Cup Shadow Arena Jackpot Supermatch will feature popular game BJs such as BJ Cheolkwonmureup, Roll Seonsaeng (Kim Jin-sol), Action Honggu, and general users.


With a prize of 15 million KRW, game BJs and general users will form teams of two to compete.


The tournament will be held from the 14th to the 16th. Before it starts, each team will be given 1 million KRW, and the competition will proceed in a 'prize money battle' format where teams try to steal each other's prize money.


The tournament will be broadcast live on AfreecaTV.


Pearl Abyss plans to continue holding global partnership tournaments with Intel starting with this event.
