[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] A section of the embankment along a stream near a reservoir in Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, has partially collapsed, but it has been confirmed that there is no significant damage.
According to the Gwangju Fire and Safety Headquarters on the 12th, a report was received by 119 at around 7:17 PM that day, stating that the embankment of a reservoir in Buk-gu had collapsed.
The fire department and Buk-gu officials quickly conducted an on-site investigation and confirmed that it was not the reservoir embankment but a part of the nearby stream embankment that had collapsed.
The reporter is known to own a vinyl greenhouse nearby and reported the incident out of concern for potential damage.
Buk-gu plans to take safety measures as soon as possible.
