Jeongdok Library Hosts Special Exhibition 'Thanks to Great Figures' Commemorating 75th Anniversary of Liberation Day


[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] The Jeongdok Library under the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 12th that it will hold a special exhibition titled '#Thanks to Great Figures' at the Seoul Education Museum to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Liberation Day.


This special exhibition introduces the lives and activities of independence activists reinterpreted by graffiti artists. Figures of independence activists will also be displayed, along with phone cases, T-shirts, bags, and other items featuring independence activists as subjects. A total of 20 portraits of independence activists will be exhibited, including Kim Gu, the head of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea; Kim Ransa, who carried secret documents of Emperor Gojong to Paris; Kwon Ki-ok, the first female combat pilot; Ahn Jung-geun; and Ahn Chang-ho. The exhibition will be held until May 31 of next year.
