Hwasun-gun Additional Recruitment for Participants in the 'Hope Job Project'


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Young-gyun] Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Chung-gon) announced on the 12th that it will recruit an additional 487 people to participate in 58 projects of the 'COVID-19 Overcome Hope Job Project.'


This job project is a government-subsidized project that provides public jobs to vulnerable groups in response to the economic crisis caused by COVID-19.


Applicants must be residents aged 18 or older with the ability to work.


Applications can be submitted at the Eup/Myeon Administrative Welfare Centers from the 18th to the 20th.


The county prioritizes the selection of vulnerable employment groups and those who have experienced unemployment or business closure due to COVID-19.


Residents who do not fall under the vulnerable employment group category will be selected as a lower priority.


The county secured 5.88 billion KRW in national subsidies, the second largest amount in Jeollanam-do, and will invest a total project cost of 6.533 billion KRW to create jobs for local residents.


So far, two rounds have been conducted with 541 people participating in 103 projects, and participants have been engaged in daily quarantine at public places such as schools, environmental cleanup of public rest areas and tourist sites.


The third project expands daily quarantine support from schools to daycare centers and includes environmental cleanup of cultural heritage sites, maintenance of public rest areas, and support for disinfection in public places.
