Semiannual Inspection of Product Sales Processes at All Branches
[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] Shinhan Financial Investment will implement a consumer protection system that inspects the product sales process and conducts accident prevention training across all branches.
Shinhan Financial Investment announced on the 12th that it will introduce the 'Consumer Protection Officer' system. Given that both employees and customers are exposed to various potential risks in a complex financial environment, the aim is to inspect and improve all related tasks and product sales processes from the perspective of financial consumers.
The Consumer Protection Officers consist of four employees from the Consumer Protection Department who have long-term experience in sales, consumer protection, and compliance. Their main duties include inspecting the product sales process at all branches (88 locations) every six months and conducting training on the complete sales process and accident prevention. The number of personnel will be increased in the future.
Previously, Shinhan Financial Investment designated the first Monday of every month as 'Consumer Protection Day' to share various consumer protection systems and policies. In early last month, they also implemented a 'Pre-Happy Call' system that allows customers who subscribe to private closed-end products to withdraw their subscription before the product operation.
Lee Ho-jae, head of the Consumer Protection Department at Shinhan Financial Investment, stated, "We will establish a consumer protection culture by preparing various consumer protection systems."
