Asia Economy reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] The Korea International Trade Association, in collaboration with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, held the 'K-Food Virtual Export Consultation' on the 12th at the Startup Branch in COEX, Samseong-dong.

On this day, 38 domestic companies from sectors including health functional foods, instant foods, infant foods, and beverages participated and conducted virtual export consultations with 11 buyers from 5 countries including China, Vietnam, and Malaysia.

Kim Hyun-chul, head of the Global Marketing Division at the Trade Association, said, "Korean food products have consistently been popular in Southeast Asia and China, especially ginseng beverages, a representative immunity-boosting product, whose exports to China increased by 170% in the first half of this year compared to the previous year," and added, "We will focus on supporting non-face-to-face marketing such as virtual consultation meetings and online exhibitions in the remaining second half of the year to expand exports not only in food but also in various fields including sports and leisure, content, beauty, and consumer goods."
