Visiting Harmony Education in 10 Villages
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, is arranging communication time with village residents to help returnees to farming and rural areas settle stably in the region.
It announced on the 11th that it will conduct ‘Village Unit Visiting Integration Education’ every Tuesday and Thursday for two weeks until the 25th.
This integration education will be conducted in 10 villages selected for the high influx of returnees to farming and rural areas within the region, including Gochi Village in Saengbiryang-myeon, Naebuk Village in Sinan-myeon, and Seochon Village in Samjang-myeon.
The education is composed of ‘interactive games’ and ‘conversation time’ to facilitate communication between returnees and local residents.
In particular, the education will be led by An Mi-ja (55), who returned to farming in 2018 and currently serves as the secretary-general of the Sancheong-gun Returnees to Farming and Rural Areas Association, expected to act as a bridge between returnees and local residents.
A county official said, “We hope this education will be a time for local residents and returnees to get to know each other,” and added, “We will continue to discover and promote projects that help not only returnees but also local residents.”
Meanwhile, Sancheong-gun is implementing various projects such as ▲New Farmer Agricultural Settlement Support Project ▲Returnees’ Housing Repair Support Project ▲Homestay for Prospective Returnees ▲Rural Adaptation Life Skills Education for Returnees ▲Operation of Returnees’ House.
Recently, the ‘Homestay for Prospective Returnees’ project, which provides an opportunity to live in the area for a certain period, has also attracted attention.
