This program is a global standard talent development system developed by Jaguar Land Rover's UK headquarters with the goal of nurturing excellent maintenance personnel. The curriculum consists of four categories?service and maintenance, chassis, electrical principles, and engine and transmission?comprising 18 courses. Trainees learn theory for high-quality service through an 18-week theoretical curriculum and 840 hours of online education. Following this, the 28-week practical training includes on-site maintenance practice as well as various work-centered assignments.
Baek Jeong-hyun, CEO of Jaguar Land Rover Korea, said, "The Global Technical Apprentice Program is an opportunity to enhance expertise in overall automobile maintenance," adding, "We will continue to actively support the cultivation of outstanding talent and improve the quality of customer service."
Meanwhile, Jaguar Land Rover Korea has expanded the recruitment for the 4th class of the Global Technical Apprentice Program to a total of 20 people, 1.5 times more than the previous year, to provide services with specialized skills tailored to Jaguar Land Rover vehicles. The 4th class training will be conducted at the 'Global Technical Apprentice Training Center' located within Doowon Technical University Anseong Campus, a dedicated in-house training center established by Jaguar Land Rover Korea?the first in the imported car industry to set up such a facility within a university.
