Lotte ON Signs Business Agreement with Beauty Startup Likle


[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Lotte e-commerce platform Lotte ON and Lotte Accelerator announced on the 11th that they have signed a tripartite business agreement with beauty tech startup Likeul.


Likeul is a startup in which Lotte Accelerator has invested 2 billion KRW. The company operates the beauty platform ‘Unnie’s Pouch,’ which has over 1 million members, as well as ‘Unpa Cosmetic,’ which plans products such as Chachachiyak and Bubibubi Lip.


Through this business agreement, Lotte ON aims to strengthen social network service (SNS) viral marketing and expects to attract female customers in their teens and twenties.


As the first step of collaboration, Likeul will create content related to Lotte ON’s beauty products and expose it on ‘Unnie’s Pouch.’ On the 12th, they will produce and showcase content for the Stila and Rimmel brands, broadcasting in collaboration with LOHB’s on Lotte ON’s live commerce channel ONLIVE.


Additionally, Lotte ON plans to conduct influencer marketing using ‘PaletteMe,’ an Instagram influencer marketing platform operated by Likeul. They will expose Lotte ON products to 13,000 influencers owned by Likeul and aim for viral effects through influencers’ product introductions and reviews.


A Lotte ON official explained, “We are striving to create a structure for mutual growth beyond simple collaboration with startups,” adding, “By collaborating with startups that have technology, Lotte ON can quickly gauge market reactions, and startups gain opportunities to assess the market applicability of their technologies and further develop them while working on projects with large corporations.”
