[Weather] Temporary Pause in Jangma Rain on 11th... Morning Heatwave in Gangwon, Gyeongsang, Jeju, and Others

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] From the night of the 10th to the morning of the 11th, heavy rain is expected in the central region and Jeonbuk, but it is expected to gradually subside in the afternoon.


According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, on the 11th, the whole country will be cloudy, with rain in the central market, Jeolla-do, Gyeongbuk, and inland western Gyeongsangbuk-do. In the afternoon, Chungcheong-do and Gyeongsang-do are expected to enter a lull. The rain in Jeolla-do is expected to stop at night, the KMA forecasted.


Expected precipitation amounts until that day are 50 to 150 mm in southern Gyeonggi, southern Gangwon, Chungcheong-do, and Jeonbuk, with some places possibly receiving more than 200 mm.


Seoul, northern Gyeonggi, northern Gangwon, Jeonnam, Gyeongsang-do, Jeju Island, the West Sea 5 Islands, and Ulleungdo will receive 30 to 80 mm of rain.


In Seoul and northern Gyeonggi, rainfall of more than 120 mm is expected in some areas.


The KMA warned that very heavy rain accompanied by gusts and thunder and lightning may occur in southern Gyeonggi, southern Gangwon, Chungcheong-do, and Jeonbuk, urging caution to prevent damage.


The morning low temperature is forecast to be 23 to 27 degrees Celsius, and the daytime high temperature 27 to 34 degrees Celsius.


Heatwave warnings are expected to be issued on the morning of the day for Gangwon-do, Gyeongsang-do, eastern inland Jeonnam, and Jeju Island.


The KMA advised, "Since temperatures may rise above 33 degrees Celsius in some areas, please take care of your health and be cautious to prevent damage to agriculture and livestock industries."
