[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Seo Daeseok) is making every effort to restore damage caused by flooding of houses and farmland due to continuous heavy rain since the 7th.
According to Seo-gu on the 10th, damage such as road flooding and house flooding occurred in several areas including Gwangcheon-dong, Seochang-dong, and Nongsung 2-dong due to this heavy rain.
The district conducted emergency duty on the 8th and 9th, deploying about 500 employees from 28 departments of the main office and 18 dong community centers to carry out rapid restoration work.
The restoration work carried out over the weekend of the 8th and 9th was conducted in flooded areas including 13 households in Gwangcheon-dong, 8 households in Seochang-dong, commercial buildings in Nongsung 2-dong, and a kindergarten located in Yudeok-dong.
