Daegu Opera Switzen Showcases Pet Ground Catering to Pet Pampering Families, Attracting Attention

In the past, factors influencing apartment popularity focused on hardware elements such as large floor areas and numerous households, but currently, community facilities within complexes, akin to software, are gaining attention as decisive factors for apartments. Especially with the rapid increase in pet-owning populations, having facilities for pets within the complex is perceived as thoughtful consideration by pet owners.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs last April, households raising pets numbered 5.91 million, accounting for over 26% of the total 22.38 million households. Terms like ‘Petfamjok’ and ‘Petmijok,’ which regard pets as family members or equals to themselves, have emerged, making it no exaggeration to say that nearly every other household has a pet. Pets have thus become closely integrated into our lives.

Consequently, construction companies are introducing community facilities for pet owners within complexes and achieving positive results. For example, ‘Geomam Station Royal Park City Prugio,’ supplied by DK Urban Development and DK Asia in the Geomam Station area of Seo-gu, Incheon, attracted about 84,000 applications in the first priority subscription. This complex offers high-end family-centered concierge services, including ‘Pet Care Service’ and a ‘Pet Cafe’ for pets, which contributed to its popularity.

Additionally, Hanwha Construction’s ‘Forena Cheonan Dujeong,’ launched in August last year, created Cheonan’s first pet playground called ‘Forena Pet Park,’ garnering significant interest and achieving a complete sell-out within three months of contract commencement.

According to industry insiders, “One of the criteria for viewing apartments nowadays is whether my family, including pets, can enjoy a high-quality life within the complex,” adding, “Community facilities that cater to residents of all ages and even their pets are becoming increasingly important.”

Amid this trend, KCC Construction has attracted attention by opening a cyber model house on the 31st and commencing full-scale sales of ‘Daegu Opera Switzen,’ a complex equipped with community facilities for pets, located at 55-2, Goseong-dong 1-ga, Buk-gu, Daegu.

Daegu Opera Switzen consists of seven buildings ranging from two basement floors to 49 above-ground floors, comprising 854 apartment units of 84㎡ exclusive area and 75 residential officetel units of 84㎡ exclusive area. The complex is the tallest in Buk-gu, Daegu, with up to 49 floors and over 900 households, making it a new landmark near Daegu Station.

Notably, Daegu Opera Switzen will feature Daegu’s first dedicated pet ground, reflecting the steadily increasing pet-owning population and current trends. Residents can enjoy happy and safe walks and playtime with their pets, who are like family members, through the pet ground.

Daegu Opera Switzen also differentiates itself not only in household units but also in community facilities. Unlike existing apartment communities that are mainly designed underground, private community spaces are planned on basement levels 1 and 2. Community spaces extend from the 1st to the 3rd floors above ground to maximize natural light and views, connecting indoor and outdoor spaces to offer an innovative lifestyle.

The community facilities are broadly categorized into three themes: Kids, Sports, and Culture. The Kids community includes an inline skating track for children, linked with a daycare center and a moms’ cafe for enhanced safety and convenience. The Sports community features a fitness center with views and natural light, an outdoor terrace running track directly connected to it, and a high-end screen golf course that allows indoor enjoyment of outdoor golfing sensations. The Culture community includes a large sauna with hot and cold baths and a dry sauna, a library connected to an outdoor terrace, and the pet ground.

The complex is designed as a premium residential product with differentiated specialized designs, paying close attention to aesthetics. Particularly, it applies the next-generation design ‘Switzen Design Manual 2.0,’ introduced by KCC Construction through a design manual renewal earlier this year, promising a luxurious, modern, and futuristic signature exterior design.

Daegu Opera Switzen offers an all-in-one lifestyle with perfect infrastructure within a 1km radius, including educational, living, and transportation environments, as well as administrative institutions.

First, numerous elementary, middle, and high schools are located nearby, providing an excellent educational environment. Large retail facilities such as E-Mart, Lotte Mart, and Homeplus are also close. Furthermore, it is a triple station area adjacent to Daegu Subway Line 3 Dalseong Park Station, Line 3 Buk-gu Office Station, and Line 1 Daegu Station. The opening of the Gyeongbu Line in 2023 is expected to further improve metropolitan transportation convenience connecting Daegu and Gyeongbuk provinces via Daegu Station.

Moreover, it is situated near the Chimsan living area, which offers high-quality cultural and leisure infrastructure such as the Opera House, Samsung Creative Campus, and a complex sports town.

The Daegu Opera Switzen model house is located at 385-1, Sincheon-dong, Dong-gu, Daegu.
