Gwangjin-gu Operates Online Premarital Classes for Couples

Non-face-to-face Online Education Conducted... Real-time Attendance via Computer, Mobile Phone... 'Online Premarital Class' to Support Happy First Steps for Prospective Couples Held on 22nd and 29th at Gwangjin-gu Healthy Family and Multicultural Family Support Center

[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Seon-gap) is preparing various online real-time lectures for residents who are unable to engage in outdoor activities due to COVID-19.


First, from the 24th to the 28th, the district will operate 'Coding Education Integrated with Art,' where students from 5th grade elementary to 1st grade middle school can draw pictures using coding.

This lecture is part of the 'Gwangjin Innovative Education Local University Collaboration Program,' organized in cooperation with Sejong University to provide quality education to students on vacation. Professor Lee Jong-won from the Department of Software at Sejong University and others will conduct lectures for 2 hours a day over 5 days.


The number of participants is 25, and students who wish to participate can apply on the Gwangjin-gu Office website or inquire at the Education Support Division by the 21st.


Additionally, on the 22nd and 29th, the Gwangjin-gu Healthy Family and Multicultural Family Support Center will operate an 'Online Premarital Couple Class' to support the happy first steps of engaged couples.


The lectures will be held for 4 hours a day over two days, covering ▲ understanding differences through the DISC test (personality type test) ▲ happy couple communication methods ▲ the meaning of marriage and a marriage preparation checklist ▲ marriage planning and financial management, designed to help engaged couples understand each other and prepare systematically for marriage.


The target participants are 15 unmarried couples who are about to marry or interested, and applications can be made on the Healthy Family and Multicultural Family Support Center website by the 17th.


Mayor Kim Seon-gap said, “We are operating various online lectures for residents who cannot engage in activities due to COVID-19,” and added, “You can easily take the lectures on a computer or mobile phone, so please participate and have a meaningful time.”
