[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Park Hee-eun] FNC Entertainment has released an official statement regarding former AOA member and actress Kwon Mina.
On the 9th, FNC Entertainment stated, "We sincerely apologize and feel deeply regretful for causing concern due to various unfortunate incidents related to AOA, and we apologize for the many worries and inconveniences caused."
They continued, "Above all, we hope that Kwon Mina, who is going through a difficult time, recovers her health as soon as possible."
Regarding the delay in issuing a statement, FNC explained, "We apologize for not paying closer attention to the relationships among the members. We have deliberated and hesitated multiple times to deliver a clear position on this matter. The members have also been living each day with frustration due to criticism and misunderstandings, and we are well aware of the criticism directed at both the company and the members."
They emphasized, "After much consideration about making a statement, we have determined that the most important thing right now is prioritizing Kwon Mina’s health recovery."
They added, "In the process, we judged that responding point by point to the flood of comments, refuting, and publicly sorting out right and wrong would only generate more sensational issues and would not help resolve the situation. We have also discouraged individual AOA members from posting their own statements. We believe that having each person’s words laid bare in public and disputes arising from various remarks is not a way to resolve the matter."
Through continued statements, FNC Entertainment said, "Recently, Kwon Mina asked our staff about Shin Jimin’s future activities, but we did not respond because Shin Jimin herself has expressed to us that she has no intention of continuing entertainment activities and wishes to live as a private citizen. We hoped to avoid unnecessary mentions once again."
Regarding settlement issues, they stated, "Concerning the settlements mentioned on Kwon Mina’s SNS, we have strictly adhered to industry standards, and if there is any possibility of a problem, we will fulfill our legal responsibilities."
FNC added, "Once again, we sincerely wish for Kwon Mina to regain her health quickly and will strive for an amicable resolution. We also ask the public to support and encourage Kwon Mina so that she can return in good health."
Earlier, former AOA member and actress Kwon Mina revealed on social media that she was bullied by the leader Jimin during their team activities. On the 8th, she publicly targeted Jimin, Seolhyun, and Han Seong-ho, CEO of AOA’s agency FNC Entertainment, and it was reported that she made an extreme choice. Kwon Mina was transported to the hospital emergency room following a report by a company official, and fortunately, it was reported that her life is not in danger.
