On the 8th broadcast of MBC's 'The Manager' (hereafter 'The Manager'), Yoo Byung-jae was shown meeting his close friend Kim Kang-hoon.
That day, Yoo Byung-jae asked about the most difficult subject, and Kim Kang-hoon said, "Science and math are the hardest."
In response, Yoo Byung-jae said, "I'm not sure about science, but I was good at math. I ranked first twice nationwide," adding, "I ranked first twice in the CSAT and national mock exams. I scored 100 out of 100 points. So, I couldn't be second," which surprised everyone.
Kim Kang-hoon then said, "I know you went to Seoul National University." Flustered, Yoo Byung-jae replied, "I didn't go to Seoul National University. I went to a good university in Seoul, but not Seoul National University. You have to be good at everything to get into Seoul National University," he explained.
Yoo Byung-jae's manager Yoo Gyu-seon spoke about the friendship between the two, who have an age difference of over 20 years, saying, "(Yoo) Byung-jae appeared on MBC variety show 'Those Who Cross the Line', and Kang-hoon was a guest," adding, "They became close after communicating through personal SNS."
He continued, "Although Kang-hoon is like a nephew, the reason they are close is that Kang-hoon is more thoughtful compared to his peers, and Byung-jae is more shallow-minded compared to his peers," and joked, "Their mental ages seem to be the same," causing laughter.
Additionally, Yoo Byung-jae, who met Kim Kang-hoon, said, "He was taller. If he tries a bit harder, he'll surpass 162cm. I think he'll overtake me in height in November," bringing laughter to viewers.
