An Octogenarian Driving a Tractor in Geochang Buried Under Soil Pile... Rescued in Cardiac Arrest Condition

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] At around 10:50 a.m. on the 8th, Mr. A (83) was buried along with a power tiller by a sudden landslide near a mountain in Jusang-myeon, Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province.

The 119 rescue team, dispatched following a resident's report, rescued Mr. A and transported him to a nearby hospital. At the time of discovery, Mr. A was in cardiac arrest.

The police and fire authorities are investigating the accident, believing that Mr. A, who was riding the power tiller, was swept away by soil that collapsed due to heavy rain.
