Delivery App 'Ddingdong' Targets Market with Zero Commission and Free Delivery Fee Support

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Honeybiz (CEO Yoon Moon-jin) announced on the 7th that the delivery application (app) 'Ddingdong' is officially recruiting franchise stores by offering 0% commission, delivery fee support, and free marketing system provision.

According to Honeybiz, there are two ways to apply for a Ddingdong franchise. One is the 'Small Business O2O Support Project' in collaboration with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Small Enterprise and Market Service, and the other is the 'Zero Delivery Union' in partnership with the Seoul Metropolitan Government. If a franchise store applies to Ddingdong through the 'Small Business O2O Support Project,' no commission is charged for up to 60 customer orders. For an additional 60 orders, the commission is 1%. Also, a delivery fee discount coupon (2,000 KRW) is provided to the store owner.

Leaflets for franchise store promotion and marketing are also provided free of charge. The promotional and marketing functions for regular customers are available for free as well. Any store owner operating a restaurant in Korea can apply. After signing up, apply through the 'O2O Support Project Application' on 'Sosangongin Madang.' Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the budget is exhausted.

If a store joins Ddingdong through the 'Zero Delivery Union,' it can operate with a 2% commission. There are no advertising or entry fees, and promotional and marketing functions for regular customers can be used free of charge. Access the Zero Delivery Union, select 'Ddingdong,' and enter franchise information such as business registration number, address, and contact details.

Ddingdong has been continuously increasing its franchise stores since announcing the nationwide order brokerage expansion last May. It promoted the 'Delivery App 2.0 Innovation Project,' featuring the lowest commission rate of 2% and lifetime free advertising and entry fees. The number of restaurants joining Ddingdong has increased more than tenfold in just three months.
