[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] The Seoul Metropolitan Government's Hangang Project Headquarters has requested the public to refrain from visiting as access to all Hangang Parks is being restricted due to rapid fluctuations in the Hangang River water level.

The city stated, "As of 11 a.m., a flood advisory has been issued for the main stream of the Hangang River, and the situation is rapidly changing," adding, "The flooded areas in Hangang Parks have also expanded."

Access is restricted to all 11 Hangang Parks: Gwangnaru, Jamsil, Ttukseom, Jamwon, Ichon, Banpo, Mangwon, Yeouido, Nanji, Gangseo, and Yanghwa.

The city requested that even if weather conditions improve and the Hangang water level decreases, visits should be avoided until the parks are fully restored. Shin Yongmok, head of the Hangang Project Headquarters, said, "We are closely monitoring the situation and will work to normalize park usage as soon as possible."
