Nowon-gu Mayor Oh Seung-rok Attends COVID-19 Blue Psychological Support Team Launch Ceremony on the 5th

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the 5th at 1 PM, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, attended the launch ceremony of the COVID-19 Blue Psychological Support Team held at the small auditorium of the district office.

The COVID-19 Blue Psychological Support Team was organized to professionally support residents suffering from COVID-19 depression by utilizing the existing Mental Health Welfare Center, psychological counseling personnel, and Neighbor Love Volunteer Group.

The event was held with 54 support team members, including Mayor Oh Seung-rok of Nowon-gu, proceeding in the order of the launch ceremony report, congratulatory speeches, and commemorative photo session.

After the launch ceremony, an instructor from the Seoul Suicide Prevention Center's Education Support Team was invited to conduct suicide prevention education under the theme "The Art of Conversation, Life-saving Activists Changing My Life."

Mayor Oh Seung-rok of Nowon-gu said, "In order to protect residents from the increasing COVID-19 depression due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, please actively work not only on managing existing target groups but also on discovering new high-risk suicide groups."
