[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Bong-ju] Writer Im Seong-han, who retired with a declaration of quitting writing, is making a comeback after 5 years.
On the 5th, a representative from drama production company Jidam stated, "Writer Im Seong-han and Jidam have agreed to work together. Currently, Im Seong-han is writing a new work."
However, Jidam added, "The drama genre, comeback timing, and channel scheduling are still under discussion and nothing has been finalized."
Writer Im Seong-han has written numerous works including MBC's "Bogo Tto Bogo" (Watch and Watch Again), "In-eo Agassi" (Mermaid), "Wangkkot Seonnyeonim" (The Queen's Flower), "Aurora Gongju" (Princess Aurora), and SBS's "Haneul Isiyeo" (Heaven's Gift), "Singisaengdyeon" (New Tales of Gisaeng).
Im was criticized as a "makjang writer" for provocative themes and dialogues. He declared quitting writing after MBC's "Apgujeong Baekya" (Apgujeong Midnight Sun) in 2015.
Meanwhile, earlier reports claimed that Im Seong-han's new work was scheduled on TV Chosun, but TV Chosun stated that this was "unfounded."
