Actions to Take in Emergency Situations and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Guidelines
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hong Jae-hee] Gimje City, Jeonbuk, has initiated safety training for service providers to appropriately respond to emergencies that may occur during the provision of social services.
On the 5th, the city announced that it conducted safety training for about 80 representatives and service providers from local autonomous social service investment project agencies at the Gimje Culture and Arts Center Grand Theater.
The training invited instructors Yang Geun-nyeong and Jeon Hyuk from the Jeonbuk branch of the Korean Red Cross, and proceeded with sessions on the necessity of first aid, actions to take during emergencies, and hands-on practice of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
This safety training was a valuable opportunity for service providers to learn first aid methods that can alleviate patients' pain and save precious lives in the event of unexpected injuries and emergencies among service users.
The city provides social services to about 1,800 people through 21 agencies across 11 local community service investment projects and one home care support agency, with a budget of 1.731 billion KRW.
Mayor Park Jun-bae said, “I hope that everyone, including service providers and social service users, recognizes the importance of safety once again and develops the ability to provide immediate treatment in emergencies so that they can enjoy social services happily and joyfully.”
