Seongbuk-gu Holds 'Pledge Implementation Evaluation Meeting' on the 2nd Anniversary of the 7th Elected Term

Evaluation of the 2nd Year of the 7th Local Government: Establishment of the 'Yi Yuksa Memorial Hall' in Jongam-dong, Seongbuk-gu


[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) held a pledge implementation evaluation meeting on the 31st of last month to mark the 2nd anniversary of the 7th local government, reviewing the progress of pledge projects promised to residents and ensuring their successful execution.


The meeting was held with the attendance of 25 members of the Seongbuk-gu Pledge Implementation Evaluation Group, who assess the fulfillment of pledges, as well as heads of departments responsible for each pledge project. After a comprehensive report on the progress of pledge projects over the two years of the 7th local government, in-depth discussions on individual pledge projects took place.


Among the total 51 pledge projects of the 7th local government, Seongbuk-gu has completed 25 projects (49%), with 23 projects (45%) currently underway, showing a smooth implementation rate of 94%.


Completed projects include ▲Creation of a regional cultural community space in Jongam-dong (construction of the Lee Yuk-sa Memorial Hall) ▲Construction of a parking lot and a second sports field in Odong Neighborhood Park ▲Establishment of a VR/AR production support center in preparation for the 4th Industrial Revolution.


Additionally, projects such as ▲Construction of integrated health centers for generations in Jangwi and Seokgwan ▲Modernization and environmental improvement of the Seongbuk-gu recycling sorting center ▲Development of a campus town around Korea University and Dongduk Women's University are progressing normally.


At the meeting, the pledge implementation evaluation group actively participated in discussions on partially implemented and long-term review projects, highlighting problems and setting new directions for progress, resulting in passionate debates aimed at finding concrete solutions.


Lee Seung-ro, Mayor of Seongbuk-gu, stated, “This meeting serves as an opportunity to once again regain the initial spirit of the 7th local government to ‘find answers on the ground’ and to engrave it in our hearts. We will redouble our efforts over the next two years to accelerate the implementation of pledge projects and do our best to complete all pledge projects.”
